Forensic odontology is the branch of dentistry that deals with the proper handling and examination of dental evidence and with proper evaluation and presentation of dental findings in the interest of justice. Forensic odontology is emerging as a potential branch in dentistry and awareness of this speciality among the dental fraternity is unfortunately less in India compared to the rest of the world.
